Hey Bestie! Do you want to learn how to make a simple green juice?
Fruits and vegetables are the absolute best things you can eat when it comes to your health. Many people have bought into the lie that fruit has “too much sugar”, but what if I told you that fruits are our species specific food?
That’s right, God gave us every plant yielding see that’s on the face of earth for food (Genesis 1:29). Fruits are the main things that we should be ingesting because they were made perfectly for our bodies.
If you want to truly walk in God’s design, you have to go ack to what he originally said of you. This is called a precept or a before thought.
There was a before thought of what you should consume Bestie and to get you started…I’d like to share this simple green juice recipe with you.
This post will be all about how to make a simple green juice.
Are you ready? Let’s geaux!
How To Juice Without A Juicer
When starting your wellness journey, you may not have all the tools you want. If you take a look around though, you will find that you have everything that you need.
When I first started my journey of incorporating more fruits and vegetables in my diet, I didn’t have every tool that was suggested by the popular youtubers who have been doing this way longer.
They had the top of the line blenders, juicers, dehydrators, and even an abundance of fruits and vegetables. Honestly Besties, I still don’t have all the fancy equipment, but what I do have is a creative mind!
So I want to encourage you to use what you have until you can get what you need!
3 Steps To Juice Without A Juicer
1. Get A Durable Blender
The blender that I have is the Ninja Foodie Power Blender and Processor System. I got it from Target and unfortunately it’s now unavailable.
The good news is that Best Buy has the same one in stock now.
2. Get A Strainer/Cheesecloth
The strainer is your lifeline when it comes to juicing without a juicer. A blender will only blend and chop the ingredients so you need either a cheesecloth or strainer to extract the juice from the remaining fiber.
From my personal experience, I like to use strainers rather than cheesecloths because it’s less messy. You can try one or both!
3. Find Something To Put Your Juice In
Most people put their juices in bottles or mason jars when they are juicing. It doesn’t really matter what you put your juice in honestly, but if you’re gonna be making a lot of juice you want to make sure you have something with a lid.
When you’re bulk or batch juicing, you might want to grab bottles or mason though! This will in fact make it easier on you.
What I did was put my juice in a glass pitcher like this:
Here’s one similar that I found on Amazon:
4. Decide What Fruits/Veggies You Want To Use
I know. I know. You clicked on this post to see what’s in the simple green juice and trust me we’ll get to it. I want you to know that you don’t have to use this exact recipe though.
Feel free to play around with your fruits and veggies according to your liking. I used to think that I had to juice several different fruits and veggies together to make good juice, but honestly less is more.
The simpler the juice is, the better. Something I’d suggest is that you get high water content fruits and veggies that will break down easily in your blender.
These are things like:
- Romaine Lettuce
- Cucumbers
- Pineapples
- Grapes
- Watermelon (juice melons alone)
- Celery
- Cilantro
- Plums
- Peaches
- Grapefruit
- Spinach
- Parsley
- Pears (ripe)
- Bell peppers
- Strawberries
- Honey dew (juice melons alone)
- Oranges
- Cantaloupe (juice melons alone)
Simple Green Juice Recipes And Benefits
Less is always more. The green juice I’m sharing with you today is 5 ingredients.
The ingredients are:
- 2 pineapples
- 1 bag of spinach
- 1 bunch of cilantro
- 2 cucumbers
- 1 asian pear
Every ingredient in this green juice is super good for your health.
Pineapples are an astringent fruit which means that they detoxify and pull acid from the cells.
Spinach is known as a super food. It’s known as a food with anti-inflammatory properties. It is said to help you prevent osteoporosis, migraines, asthma, arthritis, and headaches.
Spinach contains vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, and vitamin K which plays an important role in healthy skin. It also prevents acne, eases inflammation, and prevents free radicals that causes premature ageing.
Cilantro detoxifies your body. It has the best biochemical profiles among the herbs that can rejuvenate the body. It also aids digestion and helps with weight loss.
Cucumbers are actually 96% water! They are the highest water content food, super low in calories, and oh so refreshing! They are said to contain all the vitamins you need.
Asian pears are high in fiber, high in antioxidants, and a great source of vitamin C.
The purpose of this simple juice is to clear the skin. You don’t have to use as many ingredients as I did. Maybe you will want to use one pineapple and leave out the asian pear.
Whatever you decide to do..just have fun with it.
