Hey Besties! Have you ever wondered why God allows bad things to happen? Many of you may have just experienced another hardship that left you wondering if God is on your side. If this is you, you’re not alone. Even the most devout Christian has thought about this in the midst of adversity.
From my perspective, everyone just wants to understand the reasoning behind things. Like why do we have to struggle to end up living out our dreams?
As a result of researching, I found that people wanted to know the answer to the following questions:
- If God created everything, who created God?
- Why does God allow bad things to happen?
- Why should I believe in God?
Today we will answer these questions together. Are you ready? Let’s geaux!

If God Created Everything, Who Created God
If you found a diamond ring, in the middle of a field, would you assume that it just appeared out of no where? No, based on the ring’s qualities, you would probably assume that the ring had a designer right?
This is the exact same idea when it comes to God. Just one look at the world around you tells you that there has to be a divine Creator responsible for all the beauty.
Even the aspect of time credits the Creator. There is no way possible that we as humans could’ve made the sun set and rise on time each day.
God exists outside of time which is how he was able to create time and every other thing that exists within it.
Why Does God Allow Bad Things To Happen
There are a couple reasons behind why God allows bad things to happen. The first reason is because you’ve had free will from the very beginning.
God said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the livestock and over all the earth and every creeping thing that creeps on earth” (Genesis 1:26).
Free will is your ability to choose your own actions. God never desired to control you. He is the one who has given you control over all the earth.
When Adam decided to eat the forbidden fruit, he was exercising free will even though it went against what God said. God could’ve stopped this bad thing from happening, but he didn’t want to violate the law of free will.
Adam could’ve chosen to listen to God or disobey God. He chose to disobey and he had to deal with consequences that he didn’t choose.
Every choice has consequences whether they are positive or negative. When they are negative, most see that as a reason to blame God.
Another reason why God allows bad things to happen is because he wants to show you how resilient he made you.
No matter what is going on externally, God has it set up for you to come out on top. This is why Jesus came to proclaim one message: Repent, for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand (Matthew 4:17).
God Is Sovereign
It’s safe to say that if God wanted to, he could stop all evil. He could stop a drunk driver from causing an accident or keep people from robbing convenience stores.
He could also stop high school bullies from harassing other kids. When you look from this perspective, it all comes down to wanting God to judge good and bad things the way that we do.
You may want God to prevent “greater-evil” actions, but let “less evil” actions slide. What you may not realize is that “less evil” actions give birth to “greater evil” actions.
For example, should God only stop sexual affairs, or should he block access to pornography as a whole?
Should he only throw criminals in jail who rob a bank or should he also stop you from playing the system when it comes to your taxes?
It’s all wrong! If God really chose to remove all bad things, then every person would be gone. Instead, he allows you to reap whatever you sow (Galatians 6:7).
Why Should I Believe In God
Whether you are a believer or an unbeliever, it isn’t a coincidence that you are reading this. It also isn’t a coincidence that you have air in your lungs right now.
You are a beautiful creation who deserves to know the truth about why you were created. You were literally created in the image after the likeness of God and it is your right to live just as he intended.
As far as your experiences, God was there through it all. I am sorry that you went through all that you did, but he’s using it for your good.
I am sorry that your step dad raped you. I’m sorry that your parents got a divorce. I am sorry that someone close to you committed suicide. I’m sorry that you grew up in the struggle and your child got shot.
I am sorry that your life hasn’t always been great. I’m so sorry that you feel abandoned or rejected by everyone. I am sorry that you struggle with sex or substance addiction. I’m sorry but God is not to blame.

Does God Love Me: The Truth
God loves you. You came out of him. He loves you with every fiber of his being.
The reason why you are still here is because of his love for you. Can I tell you what God did for you?
He sent his only Son to exchange your burdens for freedom in his Kingdom. What Adam lost is what Jesus brought to you which is restoration of your dominion and connection with heaven again.
Jesus died on the cross to cleanse you, give you control of your circumstances, and to connect you back to your home country Heaven.
Will you accept your inheritance today? Romans 10:9 says you only have to confess with your mouth and believe in heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and you can be saved.
If you would like to do so, here’s a prayer for you:
Lord Jesus I repent. I believe you lived, died, and rose again with all power just for me. I invite you into my life as my Lord, Savior, and Bestie Forever. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
Remember your destined to win because He got up!
