Hey Bestie! Let’s talk about how to gain confidence in yourself!
First things first, you’re a treasure. I mean it’s written (Deuteronomy 7:6 ESV). The thing is, this understanding isn’t yours until you’re able to receive it and own it.
This is why we’re here today; to learn how to gain confidence. It’s already inside you Bestie and I’ll assist you on how to draw it out.
This post is all about how to gain confidence in yourself.
Are you ready? Let’s geaux!
What Doe It Mean To Have Confidence In Yourself
Confidence is the knowledge and belief that you belong. It stems from the knowledge and inner standing of whose you are and who you are.
Without the knowledge of where you’re from, it can be difficult to inner stand who you are. Before you were in your body, you were in the loins of the King of glory.
You lived in His kingdom and you had all the desires of your heart. This is why there’s a deep longing inside of you to become a better person and to become an agent of change.
The Earth was created for you believe it or not. It was created so that you can share in His kingship and rule as the gods of this realm.
You were also created with an individual purpose which is the means of getting Heaven to the Earth. This is only revealed when you become one with your Source.
Having confidence in yourself means that you understand how valuable you are inwardly. You’re so much bigger than what you know and I’m happy that you’re on your way to discover that.
You have authority on this Earth to control all of your circumstances by way of tapping into your authentic self and living under the jurisdiction of Heaven while on Earth.
5 Ways To Boost Your Confidence
You were born with confidence in your DNA. In fact, you assimilate very closely with nature. Take a seed for example.
When you look at a single apple seed, you don’t see the complete picture. But that same apple was created to become an apple tree with apples that have seeds in them.
If you really think about it, one apple seed is actually an orchard because it’s packed with so much potential!
You’re the same way, only on a much greater scale because you are god.
Here Are 5 Ways To Boost Your Confidence:
1. Inner Stand Who You Are
To inner stand is to have a deep understanding of yourself. Who are you really? What are you as a creation?
Do you understand that you are wonderfully complex? What does that even mean?
You are a god; a son of the Most High God (Psalm 82:6 ESV). There is so much self discovery that’s in store for you.
Don’t allow this world to reduce your potential any longer. You weren’t born just to pay bills. Your life is so much more than food, partying, shelter, water, and clothing.
Maslow’s hierarchy was wrong, but it’s up to you to choose what’s right.
2. Get Back To Your True Nature
There are things that come naturally to you right? These are your gifts. What are those things that you’re naturally good at?
Is there anything that you truly enjoy doing? What are those things?
3. Establish A Routine
Routines are a way to replace bad habits with good ones. I know you feel like you don’t have any time in your day, but that’s just not the truth.
You have to make the time to be able to put your needs first. To create a routine, start by paying attention to what you do now. Then start to document so that you can find pockets of time to do what you’ve always wanted to do.
This is your life and you’re in control of your destiny. When you have a routine that includes things you can look forward to, you’re confidence gets a boost.
4. Challenge Yourself
I’m going to be honest. If you don’t get out of your comfort zone, there is no chance of your confidence getting boosted.
What are the things that you’re fearful of? Is it going to the store by yourself? Or is it standing up for your what you truly believe in?
Maybe it’s being yourself in front of others? I dare you to challenge yourself by doing one thing that scares you.
5. Take Care Of Your Vessel
Looking good is nothing if you don’t feel good. You are a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NIV). He never once called you a morgue so why do you treat yourself that way?
Your entire being was made for life. This includes: Foods that brings forth life like fruits and vegetables, thoughts that brings you life, words that bring you life, TV shows that bring you life, and also people that bring you life.
What are those things that are bringing death to your life? Before you take a look at anything or anyone external, start with what’s happening internally.
It all starts with you!
12 Self Confidence Tips
Improving your self confidence isn’t something that you have to rush so take your time Bestie.
These are the 12 self confidence tips that will help you gain confidence in yourself:
1. Go Slow With Yourself
Anything that comes too fast will be overwhelming. You’re learning something new and if you think about it everything you’ve ever learned has been in bite sized pieces.
For example, you learned your ABCs before you were able to write a paper.
Let your self-confidence journey be in slow bite sized pieces as well.
2. Choose To Be Kind To Yourself
You don’t like when someone is rude to you so what’s your excuse for being rude to yourself? It’s not your job to be your own enemy,,,you already have one of those.
Become your own best friend and take it easy on yourself. You’re doing an incredible job.
3. Let Go Of The Things That Don’t Serve You
The negative self-talk has to go. That depression and anxiety cannot stay. Those poor eating habits have to exit the temple.
It’s time for you to start doing the things that produce the best version of yourself.
4. Celebrate Every Step
Don’t wait until that “huge” milestone to celebrate. In this process, you’re like a baby. You don’t overlook anything when a baby does it do you?
No, because everything they do is MONUMENTAL to you.
Just like you would celebrate every milestone of a baby, celebrate every step you make.
Act as if you’re doing everything for the first time.
5. Allow Yourself To Feel
Your emotions are indicators similar to lights on a dashboard of a car. Whenever lights malfunction it becomes a dangerous situation.
Feelings are supposed to be handled in a healthy way. Don’t suppress or react to your feelings; just allow yourself to feel.
6. Talk To Yourself
Talking to yourself is normal. Whether you do it within your mind or out loud, everyone talks to themselves.
I encourage you to speak to yourself aloud. This is a way to encourage yourself, reparent yourself, keep yourself accountable, and face yourself.
Remember you’re your biggest cheerleader…not your biggest critic.
7. Get Physical
Getting physical stimulates you mentally and helps to regulate you emotionally. If you haven’t noticed by now, you’re a holistic being.
Every part of you (whether it’s spiritually, mentally, emotionally or physically) is connected.
8. Stimulate Your Mind
When is the last time you picked up a book? Reading is a great way to stimulate your mind as well. There are plenty of amazing books you can read, but I have seven recommendations for you that just might change your life!
9. Avoid Comparison
I’m sure you’ve heard that comparison is the thief of all joy. This statement couldn’t be any more true.
When you compare yourself to another person, you actually insult yourself and your Maker. Listen to me: You are more than enough.
There is no person on this Earth that is better than you. Water your own grass and get excited before it grows. God has so much in store for you!
10. Don’t Wait For Another Person’s Approval
God has already approved you. His approval is why you exist. Do you realize that there are millions of people who didn’t get to come and experience kingship here on Earth?
The Most High hand picked you to show you that you’re bigger than anything you’ll ever see and experience. Embrace that.
11. Keep A Journal
Did you know that journaling is actually a spiritual practice? To be able to look back at your history, plan your future, and document your journey is spirit business.
Matter of fact, most of the things you do daily are spiritual acts. It makes sense because you’re a spirit inside of a dirt body.
12. Strengthen Your Strengths
Strengthening your gifts are a great way to improve your self-confidence. For example, if you have a dream of opening a bakery then you know that you need to constantly improve your baking skills.
How do you do that? You practice over and over and over again. Once someone tastes your baked goods, then you’ll be confident enough to continue even when that one person doesn’t like them.
Bestie, I hope you now have an understanding of how to gain confidence in yourself.
