Hey Besties! Have you ever wondered “Why should we obey God?”
We’re going to start this blog with a declaration: “ I will obey God from here on out”. Some of you may have hesitated, and others may have doubted, but that’s okay.
By the end of this blog, you will understand what it means to obey God.
This post will be all about how to obey God and why its important to do so.
Are you ready? Let’s geaux!
We all want to live a life of joy and freedom. In this world, consistent joy and freedom seems like a far away dream, but it doesn’t have to be.
Do you ever stop and think about why you have huge dreams to make this world a better place even if it’s just for you and your family?
It’s because of where you come from. It may be hard for you to believe, but Utopia is in your heart because you came from a Utopian society.
There once was a time where you physically live in a country called Heaven. As you probably heard everything is perfect there!
While it’s not your job to rush to get there, it is your job to bring Heaven to Earth. (Don’t worry it’ll all make sense; just stay with me).
Why Should We Obey God?
In a country, there are sets of laws that each individual follows. There’s speed limits, tax deductions, traffic lights, dress codes, morality laws like no stealing or killing, and many more that you follow.
Why do you follow laws though? Is it because you love laws or is it because you love your freedom?
Think about it: The moment you’re caught breaking a law, you are fined or thrown into prison. Your freedom is taken away from you.
There are multiple people behind bars right now for breaking the law. I’m sure that if they had a second chance they won’t hesitate to obey.
Laws are important to maintain order and establish the safety of everyone around. If there were no laws, there would be no order. This is the reason why obeying God is so important.
Unlike a corrupt justice system, God’s laws benefit you. You should want to obey God to protect yourself. God even encourages you to learn his law.
If you’re a citizen of a country you don’t obey the law for the sake of the person who made the law. You obey the law to keep yourself safe.
This can get really complicated if you are conditioned by religion. In religion, laws are a set of rules and rituals that keep you busy. In a country, the law is in place to protect its citizens.
Religion is all about what you do for God while in the country of Heaven, it’s about who you are to God.
For example, the whole concept behind Christianity is doing for God while all along God has done everything for you.
God calls you a citizen of Heaven. Do you think he was speaking hypothetically? Or were you taught that “one day” you will be a citizen?
The time is now to walk in your citizenship, because you can live physically on Earth, but function as if you’re in Heaven.

Have You Been Struggling With Obedience To God
Concepts are everything. Whenever you have an idea in your mind, you form a concept about it. How do you see God? Who is he to you?
If God is just a person in the sky that blesses you for doing good or punishes you for doing wrong then you’re concept of him is off.
Many of you may believe that because you have grace laws no longer need to be followed. That concept is also false.
Sure you’re no longer under the law (Romans 6:14), but have you ever considered which laws the scripture was referring to?
You are no longer under ritual law but laws like the Ten Commandments will stand forever. Just because you’re under grace doesn’t mean you no longer have to follow laws.
Remember, Heaven is a country. All countries maintain order by establishing law.
Jesus is a King, which is a foreign concept to those of us who live in the western culture. A king owns everything, and our King created everything.
Jesus is a different type of king though. He is the type of King that is so generous that he wanted you to be a king as well.
Does the saying King of kings ring a bell? He is known as the King of all kings and Bestie you are one of those kings!
When it comes to struggling to obey God, it just speaks to how much you don’t recognize your true self.
You are not who you think you are. In fact, you are royalty!
Royalty walks, talks, acts and is different from the average person. The life you’ve been living is mediocre, compared to the life that has been written out for you.
You have to obey to walk in your royal priesthood. Obedience is the gateway to Authenticity, and to true love of God and self.
It’s time for you to obey Royalty!
How To Obey God
Obedience is a decision that you have to make over and over again. It’s a daily decision that will cost you everything you know.
This decision comes with going against who you currently are to become who God has called you to be.
Obedience is not hard; it just takes a new level of mental capacity that will elevate you to new heights to explore all that God has for you and all that’s been yours.
God wants you to be obedient because it’s the best thing for you. He’s not trying to control you.
Your spirit is attached to his and in order to be free, you have to live by the laws of your home country.
The First Step To Obey God
The first step on how to obey God is simply to decide to do so daily. Obedience is your ticket into destiny, so choose to live. Live your life completely surrendered and opposed to the ways of this world.
Again, obedience is a decision that’s not always easy, but it is simple. It requires you to pursue God with all of your heart.
Obeying God means that you love him (John 14:15). Obedience is his love language and sometimes the cost of love is sacrifice.
God is the King who loved you so much that he sacrificed the King of all kings so that you can live through your position as king.
And you don’t have to worry because he’ll never let the cost of your sacrifice to outweigh his love for you.
You are needed and so is your obedience. This is how you make the world a better place.
He will walk hand-in-hand with you through what will feel like the hardest thing you’ve ever had to do because the cost of your sacrifice is not only for you, but for generations. Trust him.
Little by little the seeds of obedience you plant will be seen by those all over the globe. Then you know that it was the Lord who presented you with the opportunities and that your sacrifice of comfort was for a newfound comfort in your true self.
Bestie, you’ve been searching for Utopia and now you get to live in it while on earth!
This post was all about how to obey God and why its important to do so.
Remember, you are destined to win because he got up.
